Provide all its employees with the information, equipment and training necessary for them to carry out their work safely, as well as to enhance their awareness and increase their participation and contribution to the task being performed. Establish continuous machinery for identifying and eliminating hazards and unsafe practices at the place of work.
Afford proper regard to the protection and conservation of the environment. AEDES ENERGIA LIMITED recognizes that the safety policy is a Line Management function for which they are accountable. Nevertheless, its employees are expected to recognize that there is a clear duty on them to exercise self-discipline and due care to prevent injury to themselves and other persons, loss to AEDES ENERGIA LIMITED and adverse effects upon the environment.
The need for establishing a Safety Reporting System is stressed. Every Department Head shall be responsible for implementation of this policy in workplace environment and he is to ensure education and compliance among the staff in this regard.
AEDES ENERGIA LIMITED believes that all injuries are preventable and that “a safe” environment is a “healthy” environment. The policy will therefore promote actively high standards of safety consciousness and discipline amongst all AEDES ENERGIA LIMITED staff. It will also help prevent and minimize accidents.
